Version A

5-inch (125 mm) deep commercial filter to replace bag filters; several units can be combined. Metal pre-filter and needle ioniser; filter class MERV 16 (ASHRAE 52.2-2017); pressure drop 55 Pa at 2.5 m/s air velocity. Operates with a control box (EAF-BOX); an unlimited number of units can be connected to one controller.

No replacement needed, less waste

The EAF's MESP filter does not need replacing for up to 10 years: it can be washed and reused many times. Compared with conventional filters, much less plastic and glass fibre waste is produced – waste that takes centuries to break down.

Low resistance, energy savings

The micro-electrostatic filter works by electrostatic capture, so its resistance is very low – according to the manufacturer, 30–50% of that of conventional filters with the same efficiency. The HVAC system runs more evenly and the fan uses less energy.

Filtration and disinfection

The EAF's MESP filter operates at more than 10 kV, so in addition to capturing particles it also kills bacteria and other microorganisms; viruses cannot multiply under the high voltage.

Quick selection and installation

Based on filter class, type and filter material, the right version can be selected in about 5 minutes; depending on size and installation, converting an air handling unit takes about 30 minutes on average (with front or side access). Screw fixing, waterproof plug connection.

Construction

Fully sealed, waterproof design (IP65), not damaged by washing. The magnetically attached pre-filter can be fitted and removed without tools. Integrated construction with few fragile parts; thanks to the modular design, one module can be replaced without shutting down the system. Light enough for one person to move. Runs on 12 V extra-low voltage, ozone-free, ETL certified.

Air handling unit (AHU) application

High-efficiency cleaning: dust separation ≥ MERV 16, bacteria removal ≥ 99.9%, virus inactivation ≥ 99.99%. Directly replaces the existing panel or bag filter without modifying the air handling unit. Lower fan energy, no consumable costs, significantly lower life-cycle cost. Typical locations: commercial buildings, airports and metro systems, cleanrooms.
